The vision for this project was to create a thoughtfully crafted addition that seamlessly blends architecture with the surrounding landscape. A new master suite was designed to embrace sweeping views over a breathtaking man-made lake, offering a tranquil retreat that feels both grounded and ethereal. Every detail was considered to frame the water as a central feature, bringing light, reflection, and a sense of calm into the home.
A cantilevered deck extends over the water’s edge, giving the impression that the structure floats above the lake. Behind the serene beauty lies a feat of engineering; waterproofing and structural protections were meticulously designed to ensure the home’s foundation remained secure despite its close relationship to the water. A large floor-to-ceiling window fully retracts into a concealed pocket within the foundation, blurring the boundary between interior and landscape and reinforcing the seamless connection to nature.
