This stately residence in Huntington Bay underwent a transformative renovation in 2013, re-imagining a traditional colonial-style home into a light-filled, classically inspired coastal retreat. What began as a dated structure with limited architectural articulation was re-envisioned with a new roof line, expansive windows, and elegant detailing that brought both scale and symmetry to the facade.
The renovation included a full demolition of the rear elevation and a significant expansion of the footprint, allowing for a more gracious floor plan, modern amenities, and improved indoor-outdoor flow. A central balcony, triple dormers, and finely crafted columns now animate the rear facade, while oversized French doors connect the interior to the new outdoor living spaces and manicured gardens.
On the front, the formerly flat elevation was brought to life with a new entry portico, dormers, and architectural mill work, that blend seamlessly into the home’s expanded footprint. Every element from the stone drive to the sweeping roof lines was designed to elevate the homes character while respecting its original charm.
