Project Details

A once underutilized barn on an East Hampton estate has been given a new life as a comfortable guest house. The project involved carefully relocating the existing barn to a new position on the property to bring it into compliance with current setback requirements, while preserving its simple, traditional character.

Following the move, the structure was set on a new foundation and completely renovated to create a warm and functional living space. New mechanical systems, updated building infrastructure, and a thoughtfully designed interior transformed the former barn into a welcoming retreat for guests, while maintaining the scale, proportions, and character of the original structure.
