Project Details
Set along the shores of Cassopolis, this home blends timeless New England charm with the warmth of Midwestern living. Designed by Anthony and Chris DiSunno, the residence celebrates traditional shingle-style architecture, with sweeping roof lines, rounded turrets, and welcoming porches that create a graceful, cottage-like silhouette. Stone garden walls and broad steps lead to terraces and screened verandas, drawing a seamless connection between the home and its lakefront setting.
Inside, the design continues to emphasize comfort and elegance. Light-filled rooms are defined by bay windows, French doors, and coffered ceilings that invite both grand entertaining and quiet retreat. The central staircase curves beneath a lantern-lit dome, setting a dramatic tone upon entry, while rooms like the paneled office and airy living spaces reflect a balance of formality and ease.
Every detail was carefully considered to capture a sense of history and permanence. From the lakeside screened porch to the expansive great room, Anthony and Chris DiSunno, the father son duo, crafted a home that provides generous spaces for family gatherings while maintaining the intimacy of smaller, private corners. It is a residence created to honor tradition, embrace its setting, and serve as a lasting retreat for generations.
